Water Preservation and Efficiency

This course taught design techniques and the use of materials of technology and materials to minimize water usage in the construction and operation of buildings. The course included information on appliances, fixtures, and solutions that contribute toward points scored on voluntary building certification schemes such as LEED, BREEAM and DGNB.

Stephen Scrivens - Principal and Founder of Landscape Technology SRL

Profile:
Steve Scrivens has lectured internationally and authored text books and over seventy articles on a range of topics including urban landscape, water management and green roofs. Stephen has an extensive background in construction project management having worked on over 150 large building projects including corporate headquarters for companies such as Glaxo, Sony, Anglo American, Canon and HSBC Hong Kong. He has masterplanned a number of business parks including Arlington’s Business Park at Theale which won the Financial Times Business Park of the Year Award and Brooklands. Stephen is one of the few BREEAM assessors to live in Romania and is a specialist in Green Building technology. He resides in Bucharest and is now developing designs for a new generation of low cost zero-carbon homes to help meet Romania’s housing needs
