ERASMUS YOUTH EXCHANGE: BIM SEMINAR IN ISTANBUL, TURKEY, 9-18 NOVEMBER 2024

In November, a 10-day seminar will be organized in Istanbul, Turkey. The Romania Green Building Council is a partner in this event.


The seminar will be in English and will cover essential topics such as:
• Introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• The importance and purpose of BIM in modern construction and urban planning
• Hands-on training with Revit software
• Practical case studies and modeling exercises
• Architectural tours in Istanbul


Young professionals and architecture/construction/installation/surveying students between the ages of 18 and 30 can participate. The organizers will provide accommodation and meals during the 10 days and will reimburse the transport to Istanbul.

Daily schedule:
Day 1 - 9 November – Monday:
• Arrival in Istanbul, introduction meeting, briefing
Day 2 – November 10 – Tuesday:
• What is BIM? Importance, scope, examples
Day 3 – November 11 – Wednesday:
• Introduction to Revit, basic Revit exercises
Day 4 – November 12 – Thursday:
• Starting modeling with a case study
Day 5 – 13 November – Friday:
• Continue modeling
Day 6 – 14 November – Saturday:
• walking tour of the architectural works of Istanbul (Historic Peninsula)
Day 7 - 15 November - Sunday:
• Istanbul (Beyoğlu) architectural works walking tour
Day 8 - 16 November - Monday:
• Continue modeling
Day 9 – 17 November – Tuesday:
• Completion and presentation of projects
Day 10 – 18 November – Wednesday:
• Discussion, workshop evaluation and departure
