PRIAevents invites you to the first and only conference on the circular economy in construction in Romania - Pria Circular Economy and Construction on July 9, 2024, from 9:30.

The idea of a circular construction sector is based on an economic model that aims to use products for as long as possible and reduce waste – through reuse and recycling – while stimulating social, economic growth and prosperity.

All over Europe, architects, construction companies, building material companies, engineers and designers consider the reuse of materials by other users and the recycling of waste as the main qualities of a circular construction economy. A third of them even expect to achieve a fully circular construction economy by 2030.

We need to focus on developing new solutions for recycling building materials. The major challenge is to use the materials in the construction or renovation of as many buildings as possible, while reducing the waste of resources and contributing to the protection of the environment.

The transition to the circular economy is not only a necessity. This represents an opportunity to provide solutions and products that meet the needs of current and future generations, related to performance, sustainability or well-being and to protect the future of our planet.

The fundamental key to initiating the waste transition process is the synergy between the waste generated by a technological process and useful renewable waste.
According to the latest circular economy data provided by the EC, avoiding waste, greening, reusing and other similar measures could save EU companies 8% of their annual turnover, while reducing their total annual greenhouse gas emissions by 2-4%. Moreover, the use of BIM can change the way architects and engineers work. This tool is able to present a three-dimensional design from the beginning of the project and provides information about each element that makes up the project. It is an aid to facilitate the design, construction and operation of a construction project.
The idea of this project is to add everything in one software called CircularBIM – an open educational resource where you can find information about green building, techniques for using and reusing building materials, reducing waste. In addition, you can access free software to practice and acquire construction techniques that facilitate the reuse of materials used in buildings.
