About
The Romanian Green Building Council (RoGBC) has created an affordable Green Homes certification that encompasses all essential aspects in evaluating and identifying the most high-performing residential projects on the market that use sustainable building principles. Economic-financial and technical modeling has demonstrated that investment in energy efficiency measures and other sustainable attributes of green homes will reduce the homeowner's monthly costs, allow for a higher sale price for the project developer, and substantially reduce the financial risk for the bank providing the mortgage loan for the home.
Over 50 residential projects, with more than 10,000 homes across the country and a market value of approximately 2 billion euros, have been certified or are in the process of obtaining Green Homes certification.
RoGBC offers courses on the certification program, which are relevant for all professionals in the residential construction community. These courses provide an opportunity to engage with RoGBC experts involved in the program and to network with professionals active in the residential sector.
Topics include:
- Overview of the program
- Profitability of investing in certifying a Green Homes residential project
- How can a residential project developer meet the criteria required for Green Homes certification?
- Examples of certified Green Homes and pre-certified residential projects in Romania
- What is a green mortgage?
- How can suppliers of green building solutions (services, materials, technology, and other products) become Approved Solution Providers for the Green Homes program?
- Examination
