This course is mandatory for those who wish to obtain the "Green Building Professional" certificate.

The course will take place at the INCD URBAN-INCERC headquarters in Sos. Pantelimon, no. 266, sector 2, Bucharest within the Professional Training and Consultancy Center (Building Knowledge Hub) - BKH RO. We are waiting for you on Thursday, August 11, 2022, starting at 09:30, in the first building on the right as you enter the courtyard of the institute, the seminar room (brown) on the ground floor.

Course objectives:

Definition of nZEB in relation to green building / sustainable building;

The legal framework in the field of energy performance of buildings - EU (European directives) and the national regulatory framework;

The principles of making an nZEB type building:
        Very well insulated building envelope,
        Construction without thermal bridges,
        Air tightness,
        Solar inputs through windows,
        Ventilation with heat recovery,
        Use of energy from renewable sources.

Building envelope compliance criteria to achieve performance levels for nZEB;

Certification of the energy performance of a building and Energy Audit of a building: definition, purpose, usefulness, conditions of request and elaboration;

Minimum energy performance requirements for new and existing buildings:
        at the level of component elements,
        at the building level,
        particularities for new buildings and for existing buildings.

Initiatives to promote and nZEB buildings and prepare the market for implementation.

Dr. Eng. Horia Petran INCD URBAN-INCERC / Cluster Pro-nZEB

Horia Petran is the main scientific researcher and coordinator of the Building Knowledge Hub in Romania, within the INCD URBAN-INCERC, having a long teaching career as an invited assistant or associate professor at various technical universities in Bucharest (1997-2012) in the field of energy performance of buildings . Founding member of the Romanian Association of Energy Auditors for Buildings and president of the Cluster Association for the Promotion of Buildings with Almost Zero Energy Consumption Pro-nZEB. Since 2011, he has continuously contributed to the development of qualifications and training schemes to support the preparation and healthy development of the Romanian construction market for the effective implementation of the nZEB concept.
