This section includes a summary of the activities undertaken by the Legislative Outreach Task Group withing the Romania Green Building Council.

What are the objectives of the Legislative Outreach Task Group (LOT)?

LOT activities focus on five main tracks. The Group is commited to:

• Facilitate the dialogue between the construction and related sectors and government, to create a regulatory framework that fosters the development of a sustainable built environment

• Work with government, industry and all concerned to remove barriers to adoption of sustainable building products, technologies and practices through the implementation of real government and market incentives

• Participate at public work-groups and public consultations on relevant public policy issues (Environmental Technologies Action Plan, sustainable construction workgroup)

• Establish relations with relevant government agencies and decision makers

• Define, draft and propose public policy recommendations
