Voluntary Certification for Green Buildings in Romania, Bucharest

A full day course to advise and prepare the participants on in  emerging international building rating / certification tools that is dramatically changing how buildings are designed, constructed, operated and deconstructed.

You will learn from our trainer about:

1. How to become LEED , BREAM or Living Building Challenge
assessor (what are this certifications).
2.  Assessment Procedures
3.  Comparison between LEED and BREAM
4.  Reviews for communities (less known in Romania)
5  Case Studies

The participants will take part and practical exercises.


9:00 am - Coffee and registration
9:30 am - 4:30 pm - Training*

*Coffee breaks and lunch will be provided.

If you register but do not attend or cancel your registration 4 days prior to the event, you will have to pay for your catering expenses.

ELENA RASTEI - Sustainability Researcher at the Institute for Eco-Innovation |LEED & BREEAM Specialist at EcoVision Consulting

Elena Rastei is an environmentalist and sustainability specialist with over four years of expertise in green building certification systems and resource efficiency at both national and international levels. Some of her current LEED and BREEAM projects include Studium Green Campus, Romania Green Building Council -offices in Bucharest and Cluj Napoca, Vision and De'Longhi Romania.

For the past four years, she has been lecturing the Green Building Certification course within the Romania Green Building Certification & Training Platform.  Elena lectured for two years (2011- 2013) the ‘’Sustainable Buildings’’ course within the CPADDD postgraduate program at the Technical
University of Cluj Napoca. In March 2010, she became the first LEED professional in Romania, accredited as LEED GA by U.S. Green Building Council.

Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts, master studies in Sustainability and Environmental Management, Architecture and Engineering in Romania, USA and UK.  The main focus of her research work includes indoor environmental quality, urban mining and circular and sharing economy.

EcoVision is a founding member of the RoGBC’s Transylvania Chapter.
